Where to Buy Weather Sticks

I saw a weather stick for the first time when I vacationing at the beach but I didn’t know what it was at first. I saw this little stick hanging off of a post on the outside porch of the house I rented, and didn’t think much of it. As the week progressed, I noticed that the stick magically seemed to move. I thought I was going crazy at first, but with some research I was able to figure out that I was looking at a well known thing called a weather stick. They actually work very well as I observed during the week long vacation. The stick curved up when the weather was good, and pointed down when the weather was bad.

The stick was actually used by Native Americans as a way to predict the weather. They are simply balsam fir or birch wood.

If you are looking to purchase one, they are very reasonably priced at around $10. Below is a link where you can purchase them from Amazon.
